Traffic Package
Overview
Pay-per-use enterprise routers are free. When you create an attachment for an enterprise router, you will be billed for the attachment and any traffic it uses. To save money, you can purchase a traffic package for pay-per-use attachments.
Traffic packages are cost-effective and easy to use. When purchasing a traffic package, you need to specify an effective time. Once the package is applied, it gets used until it runs out or expires.
Table 1 describes the function and restrictions of traffic packages. The price of a traffic package depends on its type, specifications, and required duration. You can view the price on the console.

How Traffic Packages Are Used
If you have multiple traffic packages, the package with an earlier expiration time will be used first.
An Example of How Traffic Packages Are Used
Suppose that you purchased two traffic packages (traffic packages A and B) in a region. The specifications are as follows:
Traffic package A: This is a 100-TB general traffic package that was valid from September 1, 2024 to October 1, 2024 (1 month).
Traffic package B: This is a 200-TB general traffic package that was valid from September 10, 2024 to October 10, 2024 (1 month).
Time Period |
Use Sequence |
---|---|
From September 1 to September 9 |
Only package A was effective. During this period, package A was used. The traffic exceeding 100 TB was billed on a pay-per-use basis. |
From September 10 to September 30 |
Both packages A and B were effective. During this period, package A was used preferentially. If the traffic was more than 100 TB, package B was used. The traffic exceeding 300 TB was billed on a pay-per-use basis. |
From October 1 to October 9 |
Traffic package A expired, and only traffic package B was effective. During this period, package B was used. The traffic exceeding 200 TB was billed on a pay-per-use basis. |
October 10 and later |
Both packages A and B expired. Any traffic generated by the attachments was billed on a pay-per-use basis. |

The traffic package specifications are for reference only. The actual specifications are displayed on the console.
