Does GaussDB Supports Dynamic Memory Management?
Answer: Yes. The dynamic memory usage is based on the memory context management. In terms of the memory context mechanism, the logical memory management mechanism is introduced, and multiple views are provided to trace the memory usage. Currently, the memory management of GaussDB Kernel is divided into two levels:
- Node-level memory control: You can set max_process_memory to determine the maximum available memory of DNs.
- Memory job-level control: You can limit the maximum memory that can be used by a single query statement.
