What Should I Do If Squid Fails to Be Started?

Symptom

Squid fails to be started after being installed.

Cause Analysis

If the service cannot be started, the configuration file may be incorrectly configured.

Solution

On your proxy host, find the configuration file and check whether there are syntax errors. The configuration file is stored in /etc/squid/squid.conf.

Check the error information in the log file. The file is stored in /var/log/squid/access.log.
