Creating Upgrade Tasks
Scenarios
Administrators can create upgrade tasks and start task execution after confirming the configuration. The system automatically pushes the new version to the target cloud desktop as planned and performs the upgrade in the background to ensure desktop security, function optimization, and running stability.
Procedure
- Log in to the console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Version Upgrade Management > Upgrade Task.
- Click Create Upgrade Task and set parameters by referring to Table 1.

The default value is Desktop.

Enforce Execution
Specify whether to enable forcible execution.
: Enabled.
: Disabled. NOTE:If this function is enabled, the upgrade task will be executed at the scheduled time even if the desktop is in use.

Earlier Than
Set this parameter as required.
- Specific version (for example, 26.3.0): Only the desktops whose versions are earlier than this version will be upgraded.
- Target version: All desktops whose versions are earlier than the selected version will be upgraded to the target version.
Target version
Upgrade To
The latest version is used by default. The latest released version is automatically synchronized.

Upgrade Task Name
Enter a custom upgrade task name.

Description (Optional)
Enter a description.

Execution Interval
- You can select one of the following intervals:
- Specified time: The time is accurate to seconds.
- By day: The task is executed by day.
- By week: You can set a specific date and time.
- By month: You can set a specific date.
- Time Zone: The local time zone is selected by default.
- Description (Optional): Set this parameter as required.

Time Window
The upgrade task is executed only within the time window. If the time window expires, the task stops. Set this parameter as required.

Notify User
- Notify: A message is displayed on the desktop after the user logs in. Set Before Upgrade Task to a value ranging from 1 to 10,080 minutes. Enter a text message, which can contain 1 to 400 characters.
- Do Not Notify: The system directly completes the upgrade without displaying any message.

To Execute At
The task is executed immediately after being created.

- Click Next step: Select the application object and select objects such as All desktops, Desktop, Static desktop pool, and Desktop Tags.
- Click Next: Perform the configuration.
- Execution Policy: The default value is Gray Delivery.
- Gray Rule:
- Specified: Select target desktops.
- Filter desktops by Desktop Name.
- Enable First-Batch Execution and set the number of desktops to be executed in the first batch.
- Set the threshold for stopping executing the next batch if the number of desktops with script execution failure in the first batch is greater than or equal to x. Range: 1–100.
- Random: Select desktops randomly.
- Set Random First Batch Count. Range: 1–10.
- Set the threshold for stopping executing the next batch if the number of desktops with script execution failure in the first batch is greater than or equal to x.
- Specified: Select target desktops.
- Enter YES or click Auto Enter to confirm the operation.
