Scenarios
If the disks configured for your desktop pools are General Purpose SSD V2 disks, you can change the disk performance on the console if the IOPS or throughput cannot meet service requirements.
The IOPS or throughput can only be changed for General Purpose SSD V2 disks.
Procedure
You can change disk performance in the following two scenarios. Select a scenario as required.
Changing the Disk Performance of a Desktop Pool
- Log in to the console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Desktops > Desktop Pools.
The Desktop Pools page is displayed.
- Click
on the left of the target desktop pool and click the Disk Information tab. - Locate the target General Purpose SSD V2 disk and click Change in the Operation column. The Change Disk page is displayed.
- Configure the required IOPS or throughput.
- IOPS: The number of read and write operations performed by an EVS disk per second (value range: 3,000 to 128,000; maximum value: 500 IOPS/GiB).
- Throughput: The amount of data read from and written into an EVS disk per second (value range: 125 to 1,000 MiB/s).
- When the IOPS is less than or equal to 3,000 and the throughput is less than or equal to 125, no bill is generated. IOPS and throughput are billed based on the preconfigured values during purchase. The actual fee is displayed on the GUI.
- If you do not have a clear throughput:IOPS ratio in mind, you are advised to use the ratio of 2:100 (with a throughput unit of 1 MiB/s and an IOPS unit of 100). For example, if your planned throughput is 200 MiB/s, configure 10,000 for the IOPS.
- Confirm the operation, and enter YES or click Auto Enter.
- Click OK.
Changing the Disk Performance of Desktops in a Desktop Pool
- Log in to the console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Desktops > Desktop Pools.
The Desktop Pools page is displayed.
- On the desktop pool page, click the name of the desktop pool whose specifications are to be changed. The basic information page of the desktop pool is displayed.
- Click
on the left of the target desktop and click the Disk Information tab. - Locate the target General Purpose SSD V2 disk and click Change in the Operation column. The Change Disk page is displayed.
- The specifications of the desktop disk you change will be adjusted according to the disk specifications of the desktop pool. Users cannot change the disk specifications.
- When the IOPS is less than or equal to 3,000 and the throughput is less than or equal to 125, no bill is generated. IOPS and throughput are billed based on the preconfigured values during purchase. The actual fee is displayed on the GUI.
- Confirm the operation, and enter YES or click Auto Enter.
- Click OK.
