Modifying Domain Configurations

Scenario

On the Workspace console, you can modify domain configurations on the Tenant Configuration page as required.

Prerequisites

An AD domain has been configured.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Tenant Configuration > Basic Settings.

The Basic Settings page is displayed.

  3. Click Modify. The Modify Domain page is displayed.
  4. Modify the domain configurations.

    • Domain Administrator Account: administrator name for logging in to the Windows AD server
    • Domain Administrator Password: administrator password for login
    • Delete Computer Objects on AD: whether to delete computer objects from the AD domain when deleting desktops.
    • Domain Controller:
      • Adding a domain controller: Click Add, configure the domain controller name and IP address, and click Verify. If the verification fails, rectify the fault as prompted until the verification is successful. You can add a maximum of 50 domain controllers.
        • Domain Controller Name: It can be the host name of the AD service or the combination of the host name of the AD service and the domain name.
          • The host name of the AD service: Log in to the AD server using the corresponding IP address, choose Control Panel > System and Security > System to obtain the computer name as the host name, replace the letters of the host name with uppercase letters, and use the host name as the active domain controller name. For example, if the host name is Fa-2016Ad-01, the active domain controller name is FA-2016AD-01.
          • The combination of the host name of the AD service and the domain name: Log in to the AD server using the corresponding IP address, choose Control Panel > System and Security > System, obtain the computer name as the host name, add the domain name to the host name, and use the combined name as the active domain controller name. For example, if the host name is Fa-2016Ad-01 and the domain name is vdesk.cloud.com, the active domain controller name is Fa-2016Ad-01.vdesk.cloud.com or FA-2016AD-01.vdesk.cloud.com.
        • Domain Controller IP Address: service plane IP address of the Windows AD server
      • Deleting a domain controller:
        • Batch deletion: Select the domain controllers to be deleted in batches in the list and click Delete above the list.
        • Single deletion: Locate the domain controller and click Delete in the Operation column.
      • Modifying a domain controller: Modify the domain controller information in the list and click Verify Again. If the verification fails, rectify the fault as prompted until the verification is successful.
    • Active DNS IP Address: service plane IP address of the DNS server

  5. Click OK.
