Assigning a Virtual IP Address

Scenarios

A virtual IP address is an IP address assigned from a VPC subnet. It can be assigned and released independently. You can follow the instructions in this section to assign a virtual IP address.

Procedure

  1. Go to the subnet list page.
  2. In the subnet list, click the name of the subnet where a virtual IP address is to be assigned.

    The subnet details page is displayed.

  3. Click the IP Addresses tab and click Assign Virtual IP Address.

    The Assign Virtual IP Address page is displayed.

  4. Set the parameters as required based on the below table.

    Subnet

    Subnet from which a virtual IP address will be assigned. The current subnet is selected by default.

    Subnet-A01

    IP Address Version

    IP address version. This parameter is only shown when IPv6 is enabled for the subnet. There are two options:
    • IPv4
    • IPv6

    IPv4

    Assignment Mode

    How virtual IP addresses are assigned. There are two options:
    • Automatic: The system assigns a virtual IP address from the subnet.
    • Manual: You can specify a virtual IP address.

    Manual

    IP Address

    Virtual IP addresses. This parameter is required if Assignment Mode is set to Manual.

    Specify an available IP address from the subnet CIDR block.

    192.168.0.15

  5. After setting the parameters, click OK.

    You can then check the assigned virtual IP address in the virtual IP address list.
