Binding a GaussDB Instance
GaussDB is required for persistent storage of application data. ServiceStage allows you to bind GaussDB to components. GaussDB features high availability, reliability, and security, auto scaling, one-click deployment, quick backup and restoration, and monitoring and alarm reporting. You can use GaussDB to meet your daily work requirements, such as development, O&M, optimization, monitoring, and migration.
You can bind a GaussDB instance when configuring Cloud Service Settings.
Prerequisites
- You have created a GaussDB instance. For details, see Buying a GaussDB Instance.
- For container-deployed components, a CCE cluster must be bound to the component deployment environment.
Binding a GaussDB Instance
- Choose Cloud Service Settings > GaussDB.
- Click Bind GaussDB.
- Select a GaussDB instance that has been bound in the environment.
If no GaussDB instance is bound to the environment, click Add One and add a GaussDB instance to the environment. For details, see Managing Basic Resources.
- Set parameters by referring to the following table.
Parameter
Description
Database Name
Enter a database name.
Database User Name
Enter the account for accessing the database.
Database Login Password
Enter the password for accessing the database.
- Click OK.
Move the cursor to a GaussDB instance and perform the following operations:
- Rebind a GaussDB instance: Click
and select the target GaussDB instance again.
- Delete a bound GaussDB instance: Click
.
- Rebind a GaussDB instance: Click
