Creating a Project Using a Sample Project

Sample projects use default templates that include work items and processes preset in CodeArts Req. You can create a project using a sample project and save your project as a template.

The preset work items and code in a sample project can be directly used for creating projects.

The following table lists the supported sample projects.

DevOps Full-Process Project

Agile development and DevOps continuous delivery through an automated E2E process. The templates have preset mind maps and instantiated Scrum work items (promotion, member, and order management), code repositories, code check tasks, build tasks, and pipeline tasks.

IPD project

IPD-System Device Sample Project

Complex products with embedded software that evolves with hardware. Examples: communications devices, automobiles, home appliances, and consumer electronics.

IPD-Standalone Software Sample Project

IT application and platform software with standardized hardware or independent of dedicated hardware. Examples: ERP software, CRM, databases, and network management software.

Prerequisites

You have permission to create projects.

If Create Project is not displayed on the CodeArts homepage, contact the administrator to grant you the Setting a Project Creator permission.

DevOps Full-Process Project

To use a Scrum project, create one using the DevOps full-process project.

  1. On the CodeArts homepage, choose .
  2. Select DevOps Full-Process from .
  3. Set project information.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Choose Work > Req > Work Items, and the page is displayed by default.
  6. Modify the project as required, or use the preset scenarios, work items, and processes.

IPD-System Device Sample Project

You can directly create an IPD-System Device sample project for a quick start.

  1. Choose Create Project on the CodeArts homepage.
  2. Select IPD-System Device from Project Templates.
  3. Set project information.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Enter the Work > Req > R&D Requirements page by default.
  6. Modify the project as required, or use the preset scenarios, work items, and processes.

IPD-Standalone Software Sample Project

You can directly create an IPD Standalone Software sample project for a quick start.

  1. Choose Create Project on the CodeArts homepage.
  2. Select IPD-Standalone Software from Project Templates.
  3. Set project information.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Enter the Work > Req > R&D Requirements page by default.
  6. Modify the project as required, or use the preset scenarios, work items, and processes.
