Pre-release
The market offers a wide variety of database types, and the SQL syntax supported by these databases varies significantly. Database encryption products cannot parse all SQL statements across all database types; therefore, they provide a "Pre-Release" feature. This feature allows users to test SQL statements that the encryption system does not support within a testing environment. In the Pre-Release mode, actual data is neither encrypted nor masked; instead, any SQL statements that cannot be parsed are simply logged to a file, providing a basis for evaluating whether they can be safely used in the production environment. It is recommended to use the Pre-Release mode first to assess the business systems to be integrated, thereby determining the impact of unsupported SQL statements on business operations.
