Restoring an On-Premises or Huawei Cloud Backup File to an RDS DB Instance

To restore a Huawei Cloud RDS backup file to an RDS DB instance:

Restore the backup file to a DB instance by referring to Restoring from Backup Files to RDS for MySQL Instances.

To restore an on-premises MySQL backup file to an RDS DB instance:

Use the DRS real-time migration to migrate on-premises MySQL databases to RDS by referring to To the Cloud.

To restore an on-premises SQL Server backup file to an RDS DB instance:

  1. Upload the .bak backup file in the on-premises SQL Server database to an OBS bucket by referring to Uploading a File.
  2. Use the DRS backup migration to migrate the backup files from an OBS bucket to RDS by referring to Backup Migration.
