Billing for EVS Recycle Bin

Billing Items

EVS disks in the recycle bin are billed based on a pay-per-use basis. Disk prices vary depending on the selected disk type, capacity, and retention duration. For details, see EVS Pricing Details.

EVS disks recovered from the recycle bin are billed on a pay-per-use basis. To change their billing modes to yearly/monthly, see From Pay-per-Use to Yearly/Monthly.

Overdue Payment

If your account goes in arrears, disks in the recycle bin enter a grace period and then a retention period before the system permanently deletes them. In this case, the disks may be retained for less than 7 days in the recycle bin.

Disk billing duration in the recycle bin = Disk retention period before account arrears + Grace period

Example: A customer deleted a pay-per-use disk, and the disk was moved to the recycle bin. After 2 days, the customer account was in arrears, and the disk entered a grace period (1 day) and then a retention period (1 day) before the system permanently deleted it. This disk stays in the recycle bin for 4 days (2 + 1 + 1), and the disk is charged for 3 days (not billed during the retention period).
