ECS Group

Description

  • ECS group

An ECS group logically groups ECSs. The ECSs in an ECS group comply with the same policy associated with the ECS group.

An ECS group allows you to create ECSs on different physical servers to improve service reliability.

  • Anti-affinity

You can use an anti-affinity policy to deploy ECSs in the same group on different physical servers to ensure high service availability and underlying DR capabilities.

  • Adding an ECS to an ECS group
    • You can add an ECS to an ECS group when creating one.
    • You can also add an ECS to an ECS group after the ECS is created.

ECSs that have local disks attached can be added to an ECS group only during the creation process. Once created, they can no longer be added to any ECS group.

For more restrictions, see Managing ECS Groups.
