Deploying MySQL on a Windows ECS
- Buy an ECS running the Windows operating system.
- On the MySQL official website, select the desired version, operating system, and download the mysql-installer-community package.
- Double-click the package.
- Select Custom and click Next.
- If the MySQL product directory is updated, select the product and MySQL version to be installed and add them to the list on the right panel and click Next. You are advised to select the same version.
- MySQL Documentation: provides detailed description and usage guide of MySQL. Install it as required.
- Samples and Examples: provides sample code and sample databases. It helps you quickly understand MySQL functions. Install it as required.
- Check the dependency. If the dependency package is not installed, click Execute. After the download is complete, the dependency package installation page is displayed. Select the terms and conditions and install the dependency package.
- After the installation is successful, click Next.
- View the list of products to be installed and click Execute.
- After the installation is complete, click Next.
- Click Next to configure the MySQL server.
- Set Config Type to Server Computer, retain the default settings for other parameters, and click Next.
- Configure the password of user root of MySQL, add an account in the Add User area, select an account as required, and click Next.
- After the configuration is successful, click Finish.
- Configure Samples and Examples.
- Enter the password of user root configured in step 12 and click Check. If a check mark is displayed, the connection is successful. Click Next.
- After the configuration is complete, click Finish.
- Click Next.
- After the MySQL installation is complete, click Finish.
- Click MySQL in the Windows menu and choose MySQL 8.0 Command Line Client to open the MySQL CLI.
- Enter the password of user root. After the login, you can use MySQL.
