Configuring Project Assignment

Constraints

• A maximum of 100 downstream projects can be selected for an R&D requirement and collaborative delivery.
• You can add up to 10 receivers to a project.

Assignment Projects

Configure the project scope for assigning work items (with the exception of RRs, SFs, and bugs) and release plans.

1. Go to a project and choose Settings > Work Item > Collaborative Delivery.
2. On the Delivering Project Configurations tab, click Add Downstream Project. The Add Downstream Project dialog box is displayed.
3. Search for and select the projects to be added.
4. Click Add to add downstream projects.
   The downstream projects that have been successfully added are displayed on the current tab.

   

   After projects are added, you can select a configured project for collaborative assignment in R&D Requirements. For details, see Assigning Work Items.

Recipient Configuration

Configure recipients for upstream work items assigned to the current project.

1. Go to a project and choose Settings > Work Item > Collaborative Delivery.
2. Choose Recipient Configuration > Add Member. In the displayed Add Member dialog box, select the members to be added. Alternatively, search for members in the project in the search box above and select them.

3. Click OK.

   • The first receiver in the list is the default receiver. You can click to change the default receiver.
   • On the Recipient Configuration page, you can click in the Operation column to remove the receiver.
     1. After removal, the work items assigned from the upstream project to the current project are not affected, and the receiver can still receive the work items. When the receiver's permission is canceled, a message is displayed, indicating that the receiver does not have the permission to receive the work items.
     2. When the receiver is completely removed from the project, they can no longer receive assigned requirements from the upstream project.
     3. When the default receiver is completely removed from the project, the first receiver is automatically selected as the default receiver.
