Managing Data Sources

After a data source is created, you can modify or delete the data source as needed. This section describes how to modify or delete a data source.

Prerequisites

You have been granted the permission to edit data sources. For details about data source authorization, see Sharing a Data Source.

Editing a Data Source

  1. Log in to the DataArts Insight console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the management console to select a region and select an enterprise project from Enterprise Project in the upper right corner of the Workspace page.
  3. On the top menu of the console, click Project. On the displayed My Projects page, click the name of the desired project.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Data Management > Data Sources.
  5. In the Data Sources area, locate the data source you want to edit, click next to it, and select Edit.
  6. In the Edit Data Source slide-out panel, edit the data source by setting parameters based on the data source configuration description in "Connecting to a Data Source".
  7. After editing the parameters, click Test Connection to test the data source connectivity.
  8. Once the test is successful, click OK.

Deleting a Data Source

  1. Log in to the DataArts Insight console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the management console to select a region. Then, select an enterprise project in the upper right corner.
  3. On the top menu of the console, click Project. On the displayed My Projects page, click the name of the desired project.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Data Management > Data Sources.
  5. In the Data Sources area, locate the data source you want to delete, click next to it, and select Delete.
  6. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.

    A data source can only be deleted after all the datasets that are associated with it have been removed.
