Configuring HTML5 Operation Session Timeout Verification

Scenarios

You can configure HTML5 operation session timeout verification for a bastion host system. If there is no mouse or keyboard activity and no file transfer in progress for a specified period, the system times out the session. After a session timeout, the HTML5 operation session is disconnected. To perform operations again, the user needs to log in again.

Notes and Constraints

• HTML5 operation session timeout verification takes precedence over login timeout verification. So, if you enable HTML5 operation session timeout verification, the login timeout specified for Idle timeout in Configuring Web Login Timeout and Authentication does not work for HTML5 operation sessions. If you disable HTML5 operation session timeout verification, the login timeout specified for Idle timeout in Configuring Web Login Timeout and Authentication works for HTML5 operation sessions.
• This configuration is global and works for all HTML5 operation sessions in the bastion host system.
• The idle duration is calculated separately for each HTML5 operation session.

Enabling or Disabling HTML5 Operation Session Timeout Verification

1. Log in to your bastion host system.
2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose System > System Config > Security.
3. In the Session Security Config area, click Edit.
4. In the displayed dialog box, configure parameters and click OK.

   Parameter	Description
   HTML5 Operation Session Timeout Verification	Function switch. If this function is disabled, the operation session is affected by the Idle timeout value configured in Configuring Web Login Timeout and Authentication. If this function is enabled, the system determines whether an HTML5 operation session times out based on the current configuration.
   HTML5 Operation Session Timeout Time	Timeout interval. The system times out the session if there is no mouse or keyboard activity and no file transfer in progress for a specified period. After a session timeout, the HTML5 operation session is disconnected. To perform operations again, the user needs to log in again. Value range: 1 to 1440, in minutes. Default value: 30. This parameter is mandatory when the HTML5 operation session timeout verification function is enabled.
