Releasing a Container

Scenario

If the system administrator detects that resources are insufficient when adding containers to a group, they can release containers that are no longer used by other groups and allocate the containers to the group by referring to Adding a Container.

This section describes how to release a container that is no longer used in a group.

Prerequisites

You have deleted the instance to which the container to be released belongs by referring to Deleting a BLU Instance.

Procedure

1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
2. Choose Cluster > Services > Containers, and click the Business Manager tab.
3. In the list on the left, click the name of the group to which the BLU of the container to be released belongs.
4. Click the Container List tab on the right, select the container to be released, and click Release Container.
5. In the Verify Identity dialog box displayed, click OK.
6. In the instance deletion confirmation dialog box displayed, click OK.
