Will the Traffic Pass Through WAF If Both CDN and WAF Are Configured?

There are two situations:

If the requested content is found in the cache, the traffic does not pass through WAF. CDN directly serves the requested content.
If the requested content is not found in the cache, the traffic passes through WAF and then reaches the origin server.
