Starting or Stopping a Component

After components are deployed, you can start, stop, or restart one or more components as required.

Use either of the following methods to start or stop a component:

Method 1
Use either of the following methods to go to the Overview page and start or stop a component by referring to Table 1.
- On the Application Management page, click the application to which the component belongs, and click the target component in Component List.
- On the Component Management page, click the target component.
Method 2
Use either of the following methods to go to the component list and start or stop a component by referring to Table 1.
- On the Application Management page, click the application to which the component belongs. In Component List, click More in the Operation column of the target component.
- On the Component Management page, click More in the Operation column of the target component.

**Table 1** Starting or stopping a single component
Operation	Description
Stop a component	Click Stop to stop a component in the Running or Processing state.
Start a component	Click Start to start a component in the Stopped state.
Restart a component	Click Restart to restart a component in the Running, Not ready, or Imported and to be restarted state. For components in the Running or Not ready state, click OK and wait until the component status changes from Restarting to Running. For components in the Imported and to be restarted state, click Enable on the Enable Component page and wait until the component is restarted.

Log in to ServiceStage.
Choose Application Management.
Click the application where the target components are located. The Overview page of the application is displayed.

Select the target components in Component List and start or stop them by referring to Table 2.

Operation	Description
Stop components	Click Stop above the component list to stop components in the Running or Processing state.
Start components	Click Start above the component list to start the components in the Stopped state.
Restart components	Choose More > Restart above the component list to restart the components in the Running, Not ready, or Imported and to be restarted state.
