Definition

Parallel File System (PFS) is a high-performance system with access latency in milliseconds. Provided by OBS, PFS supports bandwidth up to the TB/s level and millions of IOPS for processing high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.

A bucket is a container for storing objects in OBS. It provides massive, secure, reliable, and cost-effective data storage.

SFS Turbo provides scalable, high-performance shared file storage (NAS) for shared file access from ECSs, Cloud Container Engine (CCE) containers, and Bare Metal Servers (BMSs).

Data storage logic

Stores files but supports object APIs. That is, you can process files the same way you process objects, implementing the interworking between objects and files.

Stores objects. Files directly stored automatically generate the system metadata, which can also be customized by users.

Stores files. Files stored in SFS can be shared by multiple ECSs, CCE and CCI containers, and BMSs. SFS also allows you to seamlessly access objects stored in OBS buckets to implement data synchronization.
