  • Storage-compute integration: 2048
  • Decoupled storage and compute: The multi-VW technology is used to support up to 256 VWs, each with up to 1024 DNs. It is recommended that you limit VWs to 32 or fewer and DNs to 128 or fewer per VW.

Number of concurrent complex queries in minutes: 80

  • Storage-compute integration:

Number of concurrent complex queries in minutes: 80

Number of short queries in seconds: 500

Number of concurrent short transactions in milliseconds: 5000

  • Decoupled storage and compute:

The multi-VW technology can increase the number of concurrent requests. As the number of VWs increases, the number of concurrent requests can be increased accordingly. The total number of concurrent requests in a cluster is affected by the GTM/CCN queuing. It is recommended that the number of concurrent requests be no more than 8192.

Virtual Warehouse (VW): also called logical cluster. DWS decoupled storage and compute allows a physical cluster to be split into multiple VWs. Different services can be bound to different VWs to isolate service loads and increase the number of concurrent requests.

The maximum number of concurrent connections is based on the data warehouse with the cloud disk flavor of 48 vCPUs or 64 vCPUs. For example, dwsk.12xlarge (48 vCPU | 384GB | 24000GB SSD) or dwsx2.16xlarge.m7 (64 vCPU | 512GB | 32000GB SSD) of a standard data warehouse.
