Description

Region

Regions are divided from the dimensions of geographical location and network latency. Public services, such as Elastic IP (EIP), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region. Regions are classified into universal and dedicated regions. A universal region provides universal cloud services for common tenants. A dedicated region provides specific services for specific tenants.

In Which Regions Is CFW Available?

You can query the regions where CFW and its features are available on the console.

Can CFW Be Used Across Regions?

• Internet border protection: CFW cannot be used across regions. CFW can be used only in the region selected during purchase.
• VPC border protection: CFW cannot be used across regions, except for the scenarios where cross-region network communication is implemented using Cloud Connect (CC). CFW can be used only in the region selected during purchase.

If a message is displayed indicating that CFW cannot be purchased in the selected region, you can choose: VPC Network ACLs and Security Groups.

Can CFW Be Used Across Clouds?

No. Currently, CFW only protects services deployed on Huawei Cloud.
