Configuring a Target Server
This section describes how to select and configure a target server for the source server (with the Agent installed and started).
Precautions
- Configure the target server only when the source server meets the following conditions:
- It is Connected to SMS.
- The migration is in the Migration Feasibility Check stage.
- The migration is in the Pending target configuration status.

- The target server must meet the following requirements:
- It has at least as many disks as the source server, each no smaller than the corresponding source disk.
- It is associated with an EIP.
- Its security group permits inbound traffic on port 22 from the source server's IP.
- Its image type is the same as the OS type (Linux) of the source server. If you select a private image, ensure that its boot mode is BIOS.
