Buying an Instance with the Same Configuration as an Existing One

Scenarios

TaurusDB allows you to quickly buy a new instance with the same configuration as an existing one.

Constraints

There is no limit on the number of instances you can purchase with the same configuration.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the TaurusDB console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
  3. On the Instances page, locate the target instance and choose More > Buy Same DB Instance in the Operation column.
  4. On the displayed page, all configurations are the same as those of the original instance. You can change them as required and then click Next.

    • The region is the same as that of the original instance and cannot be changed.
    • The parameter template defaults to the original instance's template and will automatically synchronize its parameters. If the original instance is deleted, its parameters cannot be synchronized using backups.

The following specification parameters cannot be synchronized. To align them with the original instance, manually modify them after the instance is restored:

      innodb_write_io_threads, innodb_read_io_threads, max_connections, innodb_log_buffer_size, innodb_parallel_read_threads, temptable_max_ram, threadpool_size, innodb_buffer_pool_size, and innodb_page_cleaners

    • Other parameters can be configured. For details, see Buying a DB Instance.

  5. Confirm the instance information.

    • For a pay-per-use or serverless instance, confirm the information and click Submit.
    • For a yearly/monthly instance, confirm the information and click Pay Now to enter the payment page.

  6. Refresh the instance list later to check the creation result. If the instance status is Available, the instance is created.

After the instance is created, you can view and manage it on the Instances page.
