Deleting an Instance

If a LakeFormation instance is no longer used or is abnormal, you can delete it.

Constraints

  • Deleted instances are moved to the recycle bin and continue to be billed until they are deleted from the recycle bin.

To restore a deleted DB instance, click Recycle Bin in the navigation pane, locate the instance, click Restore in the Operation column, and click OK.

  • Instances that have been stored in the recycle bin for more than one day will be automatically deleted and cannot be restored.
  • To prevent your workload from being affected, you can forcibly delete an instance 15 minutes after it is moved to the recycle bin.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the LakeFormation console.
  2. Select the target LakeFormation instance from the drop-down list box on the left.
  3. Click Delete Instance in the upper right corner.
  4. In the displayed dialog box, confirm the deletion impact, and click OK to delete the instance.
