View and Review the Sorting Results

Once the sensitive data discovery task has been completed, you can view the results of the sensitive data discovery.

There are two entry points to view the discovery results:

  • In the project interface, select the Discovery and Analysis menu. Choose the appropriate discovery task, then click View Result.
  • In the top-right corner of the monitoring interface, there is a View Results button.

View Results

Method 1: Within the project, view the results of the sensitive data discovery task as shown in Figure 1. For specific operating steps, please refer to "View and Edit Discovery Tasks."

Method 2: In the Task Monitoring window, click View Result in the upper-right corner, as shown in Figure 2. For detailed instructions, please refer to "Sensitive Data Discovery and Monitoring."

View the Results of Sensitive Data Discovery via Method 1

  1. View the Sensitive Data Discovery Task List. In the Sensitive Data Discovery Task List, tap More on the far right.
  2. Select View Result, as shown in Figure 3.

  3. After selecting View Result, the display is shown in Figure 4; the parameter descriptions are provided in Table 1.

    Parameter

    Description

    Task Running Time

This refers to the total execution time of the sensitive data discovery task.

    Total Objects (Tables/Files) of Task

Indicates the total number of tables scanned by this sensitive data discovery task.

The number of discovered sensitive objects (tables/files)

This indicates how many tables contain sensitive data across all tables.

    Total Columns of Task

This indicates the total number of database columns scanned by the sensitive data discovery task.

    Count of Discovered Sensitive Columns

This indicates the total number of sensitive columns identified by the sensitive data discovery task.

    Table Name

Refers to the name of the current table.

    field

Refers to a field in the current table.

    Field Description

If a table in the database contains comments, the sensitive data discovery task will automatically retrieve the comment information from the database.

Number of Samples/Number of Valid Samples/Matching Rate

These three values represent, respectively, the recommended number of rows to sample for the sensitive data discovery task configuration, the actual number of non-null rows sampled, and the percentage of rows matched by the discovery rule.

    Data Domain

The sensitive data field (e.g., phone number). The data field is associated with discovery rules.

    Comb

This refers to the manual verification process. The sensitive data discovery task cannot guarantee 100% accuracy; therefore, manual verification is required to identify and address gaps, as well as to correct any erroneous results.

    • Settings: You can manually specify which data field (sensitive data) this column should be associated with.
    • Unconfigure: When no valid detection results are found for sensitive data or when manual configuration is incorrect, you can use the Reset button shown in Figure 5 to unconfigure the settings.

    Action

The Operations Column provides a Match Preview feature, which primarily displays a preview of the data matched by the rule. This helps operators confirm whether the matched data corresponds to sensitive data.
