Binding an Elastic IP (EIP)

Each database encryption instance runs independently. Refer to this chapter to create an instance and bind an elastic public IP address to log in and use the database encryption, decryption, and data masking instance.

To encrypt, decrypt, and anonymize data in a database using a web browser, an elastic public IP address must be assigned.

Prerequisites

Access to database or big data assets has been authorized.

Binding an EIP to an Instance

  1. Log in to the DBSS console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region.
  3. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Database Security Audit (Enhanced Encryption).
  4. On the displayed page, locate the instance to be bound to an EIP, and choose More > Bind EIP in the Operation column.
  5. In the displayed dialog box, select an EIP in the Not bound status and click OK.
