Blocking Traffic From Specified Locations

Advanced Anti-DDoS allows you to block traffic from specified locations. Once configured, the policy takes effect for the corresponding AAD instance, and the access traffic from the specified locations will be discarded.

Limitations and Constraints

Advanced Anti-DDoS allows you to enable or disable all traffic from outside the Chinese mainland with one click. However, granular blocking by specific country or region is not supported.

Geo-Blocking

If your target users are located exclusively within the Chinese mainland, you can enable geo-blocking to block access requests originating from outside the Chinese mainland. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to the AAD console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Advanced Anti-DDoS > Protection Policies. The Protection Policies page is displayed.
  3. Select the instance for which geo-blocking needs to be configured.
  4. In the Geo-Blocking configuration area, click Set.
  5. In the displayed dialog box, select a route and select the areas you want to block.
