What Is a Quota?

A quota is a limit on the quantity or capacity of a certain type of service resources that a user can use, for example, the maximum number of IAM users or user groups that you can create.

If the current resource quota cannot meet your service requirements, you can apply for a higher quota.

How Do I View My Quotas?

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and project.
  3. Click (the My Quotas icon) in the upper right corner.

    The Quotas page is displayed.

  4. Click (the My Quotas icon) in the upper right corner.

    The Quotas page is displayed.

  5. On the Quotas page, view the used and total quotas of each type of resources.

    If the quota cannot meet your service requirements, increase the quota.

How Do I Increase My Quota?

The system does not support online quota adjustment. To increase a quota, contact the administrator.

Before you contact the administrator, prepare the following information:
  • Account name

    To obtain the account name, log in to the management console, click the username in the upper-right corner, and choose My Credentials from the drop-down list.

  • Quota information, including the service name, quota type, and required quota
