Description

GTL/2/RESOURCE_USEDUP:OID [OID] Resource item [item-name] is nearly used up.

The trap was generated when the percentage of the resources used by the service module was not less than the 90% which is defined by the license.

Impact on the System

Under the control of the license, the usage percentage of service resources cannot exceed the threshold defined by the license. Therefore, if a larger license file cannot be applied for or activated, traffic loads cannot cater for the demand of the current operation scenario.

This trap is reported only once when the percentage of resources used by the service module reaches or exceeds 90% of the threshold defined by the license.

Possible Causes

The usage of an active resource item (not an interface resource item) in the license file exceeded the upper threshold.

Procedure

Confirm whether the current license file is large enough. If not, apply for a larger license file.
Use the new license file and run the license active license-name command to activate it.
Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
