Creating an Auto Scaling Policy for an Existing Cluster
Prerequisites
If no task nodes exist in the cluster, click Configure Task Node to create at least one task node and then configure auto scaling rules.
Procedure
- Log in to the MRS management console.
- Choose Clusters > Active Clusters. In the cluster list, select a running cluster to access its details page.
- On the page that is displayed, click the Auto Scaling tab.
- You can configure auto scaling policies only by node group. See Figure 1.
- For MRS 3.x or later, task nodes can only be configured for analysis, streaming, and hybrid clusters. For details about how to create a task node for an MRS 3.x or later custom cluster, see Adding a Task Node.
- Auto scaling policies by node group apply to all task nodes during auto scaling.
- Obtained metrics are those of all task nodes.
- Task nodes are randomly removed.
- Auto scaling policies of different node groups are mutually exclusive. That is, you can enable auto scaling policies only for one node group.
- Click Create Auto Scaling Policy to create an auto scaling policy.
You can configure the auto scaling rules by referring to the following scenarios:
