Applying for SMN New Protocol OBT
Currently, the voice notifications, DingTalk group messages, WeCom group messages, and Lark group messages are in the open beta test (OBT) phase. To use these protocols, you need to submit a service ticket to apply for the OBT. This section describes how to request them.
Scenarios
Configure notification protocols when creating contacts and alarm rules.
Procedure
- Access the Create Service Ticket page.
- Enter SMN in the My Service/Product text box and click Simple Message Notification (SMN).

- Select Other for Issue Categories and click Create Now.

- Select the region where your cloud resources are located, enter Apply for the OBT of the WeCom, DingTalk, and Lark protocols in the issue description, enter your contact information (mobile number or email address), and click Submit.

- Wait for the system to reply. When a message from a Huawei Cloud engineer is displayed asking you to confirm the risks, reply with I am aware of the risks and wish to continue enabling the service. Wait for the system to reply and enable the protocols for you.

The number of WeCom, DingTalk, and Lark group messages that can be sent is limited, and the recipient system may be faulty. As a result, messages may fail to be sent. In this case, SMN does not ensure successful message delivery.
