Why Is My VPC Still Being Billed After It Was Deleted?

Symptom

As shown in Figure 1, you deleted all VPCs under your account. However, there are still bills for VPC.

Reasons

Most VPC resources are free, such as VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups. For details about the billing of all resources in a VPC, see VPC resource billing. You may still be billed due to the following:

  • In the Billing Center, on the By service type tab, click Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and check any of the resources listed in Table 1 are billed. For details, see section How Do I View My VPC Bills?

    VPC

    EIP

    Fixed bandwidth

  • Due to billing delay, the consumption amount will not be deducted immediately after a pay-per-use resource is deleted. Bills are generated and the consumption amount is deducted only after the settlement period ends.
