Upgrading the Desktop Version

Scenarios

Workspace provides basic service capabilities such as software version management and upgrade scheduling. It supports centralized management of desktop server versions and scheduling of upgrade tasks.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Desktops > Desktops.
  1. Locate the target desktop and choose More > O&M > Upgrade Version in the Operation column.

    Go to the Create Upgrade Task page.

  2. Set parameters by referring to Table 1.

    • Upgrading a single desktop: Locate the target desktop and choose More > O&M > Upgrade Version in the Operation column.
    • Upgrading desktops in batches: Select multiple target desktops and choose More > O&M > Upgrade Version above the desktop list.

      Enforce Execution

      Specify whether to enable forcible execution.

      • : Enabled.
      • : Disabled.
        NOTE:

        If this function is enabled, the upgrade task will be executed at the scheduled time even if the desktop is in use.

      Upgrade To

      The latest version is used by default. The latest released version is automatically synchronized.

      Upgrade Task Name

      Enter a custom upgrade task name.

      Description (Optional)

      Enter a description.

      Execution Interval

      The default value is Execute immediately.

      -

      Notify User

      • Notify: A message is displayed on the desktop after the user logs in. Set Before Upgrade Task to a value ranging from 1 to 10,080 minutes. Enter a text message, which can contain 1 to 400 characters.
      • Do Not Notify: The system directly completes the upgrade without displaying any message.

      To Execute At

      The task is executed immediately after being created.

  3. Click OK.
