Performing Basic User Groups Operations
Scenarios
Administrators can add users to, remove users from, modify, and delete user groups on the console.
Procedure
- Log in to the console.
- In the navigation pane, choose User Management > User Group.
The User Group page is displayed.
- Perform various management operations on created user groups as needed, as described in Table 1.

Description
Creating a user
- Click a user group name in the user group list. The user group information page is displayed.
- Click Add. The Add User dialog box is displayed.
- Enter a username in the Available Users text box or select the usernames to be added in the Available list.
- Click OK. NOTE:
- When the AD domain is interconnected with, users cannot be added to AD user groups, and can only be added to user groups.
- You can add users from different domains to the same user group.
- After a user group is authorized to use a desktop pool, if users are added to the user group, the desktop pool is not visible in the desktop list on the terminal of a user who has logged in. It will become visible only when the user logs in again.
To facilitate user management, the administrator can add users to a user group.
Removing a user
- Click a user group name in the user group list. The user group information page is displayed.
- On the user group information page, you can remove one user or multiple users.
- Removing one user
- Click Remove in the Operation column of the desired user. The page for removing a user is displayed.
- Confirm the operation, and enter REMOVE or click Auto Enter.
- Click OK.
- Removing multiple users
- Select the users to be removed and click Remove above the user list. The page for removing users is displayed.
- Confirm the operation, and enter REMOVE or click Auto Enter.
- Click OK. NOTE:
- In a project interconnected with an AD domain, users cannot be removed from an AD user group, and can only be removed from a common user group.
- To remove a user from a user group that is assigned with desktops or desktop pools, the user needs to log out and then log in again for the removal to take effect.
- Removing one user
The administrator can remove users from a user group on the console.
Modifying a user group
You can modify user group information in either of the following ways:
Method 1:
- In the user group list, click Modify in the Operation column. The Modify User Group page is displayed.
- Modify the user group name and description as required.
- Click OK.
Method 2:
- On the User Groups page, click the user group name. The basic information page of the user group is displayed.
- Click
on the right of User Group Name to modify the user group name. - Click
on the right of Description to modify the description.
To facilitate user group management, administrators can modify user group information on the console.
Deleting a user group
You can delete user group information in either of the following ways:
- Individual deletion
- In the Operation column of the user group, click Delete. The Delete User Group dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the operation, and enter DELETE or click Auto Enter.
- Click OK.
Method 2:
- Click the name of the user group to be deleted. The user group information page is displayed.
- Click Delete in the upper right corner of the user group information page. The Delete User Group dialog box is displayed.
- Click OK.
- Batch deletion
- Select the user groups to be deleted in batches and click Delete above the user group list. The Delete User Group page is displayed.
- Confirm the operation, and enter DELETE or click Auto Enter.
- Click OK.
Administrators can delete a specified user group on the management console.
