Cluster Groups
A cluster group is a collection of clusters. UCS can set permission policies for cluster groups to implement refined permission management.

- Only the Huawei Cloud account or members of the IAM admin user group can create or delete cluster groups.
- The UCS automatically creates a cluster group named default as the default cluster group.
- The new cluster group must be associated with the admin permission policy, which has the administrator permission of the UCS by default. For details, see Permission Policies.
- A cluster can be added to only one cluster group.
Creating a Cluster Group
- Log in to the UCS console. In the navigation pane, choose Container Cluster. Click Create Cluster Group.
- Enter the cluster group information, as shown in Figure 1.
- Cluster Group Name: Enter a cluster group name. The name must start with a lowercase letter and consist of lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-). It cannot end with a hyphen (-).
- Add Cluster: Select an existing cluster. If you do not select any cluster, an empty cluster group will be created. For details about how to create a cluster group, see Adding a Cluster.
- Associate Permission Policy: Select an existing permission policy. You can select multiple permission policies. The new cluster group must be associated with the admin permission policy.
