Replicating a Parameter Template
Scenarios
If you already have a parameter template and want to reuse most of its custom parameters and values in a new template, you can replicate that parameter template. You can also replicate parameters to generate a new parameter template for future use.
Precautions
- After a parameter template is replicated, wait at least 5 minutes before creating the first DB instance that uses this template as its default parameter template.
- Default parameter templates cannot be replicated, but you can create custom parameter templates based on those default templates.
Replicating a Custom Parameter Template
- Log in to the TaurusDB console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region. - On the Parameter Templates page, click Custom Templates. Locate the parameter template to be replicated and click Replicate in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, enter the new parameter template name and description and click OK. Figure 1 Replicating a Custom Parameter Template
- The template name consists of 1 to 64 characters. Only letters (case-sensitive), digits, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.) are allowed.
- The description consists of a maximum of 256 characters and cannot contain carriage return characters or special characters (>!<"&'=).
- Check that a new template is generated on the Custom Templates tab.
