Requesting Subscription Confirmation
Scenarios
After creating a subscriber, you need to send a subscription confirmation message to the subscription endpoint. For details about the flow control rules for subscription requests, see Traffic Control over Subscription Confirmation. You can send a confirmation request to only one subscription endpoint at a time.
Procedure
- Log in to the management console.
- In the upper left corner of the page, click
and select the desired region and project.
- Click
. Select Management & Governance > Simple Message Notification.
The SMN console is displayed.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Subscribers.
- In the subscriber list, select a subscriber whose status is Unconfirmed.
- Click Request Confirmation in the Operation column.
- In the displayed Request Confirmation dialog box, click OK.

- Go back to the subscriber list and check whether the subscriber's status changes to Confirmed.
- To prevent malicious users from attacking subscription endpoints, SMN limits the number of confirmation messages that can be sent to an endpoint within a specified period. For details, see Traffic Control over Subscription Confirmation.
- SMN does not check whether subscription endpoints exist when you add subscriptions. However, subscribers will not receive notification messages until they confirm their subscriptions.
- After you add a subscription, SMN sends a message that contains a link for confirming the subscription to the subscription endpoint. The subscription confirmation link is valid within 48 hours. Confirm the subscription on your mobile phone, mailbox, or other endpoints in time.
