Application Scenarios
You should configure a password for accessing your DCS instances to prevent unauthorized clients from operating it by mistake. To improve instance security, clients must be authenticated for access. For details, see DCS Data Security.
Solution
For security purposes, DCS provides password-protected instances. However, your DCS for Redis instances be accessible without a password. Choose an access authentication mode as needed. For details, see Configuring a Redis Password.
Rule Logic
- If your DCS for Redis instances are accessible without a password, the check result is non-compliant.
- If your DCS for Redis instances are accessible with usernames and passwords, the check result is compliant.
