Application Scenarios

If public network access is not necessary, do not bind an EIP to a Memcached instance. This reduces the attack surface.

Solution

Unbind the EIP from the Memcached instance. DCS for Memcached has been discontinued. Use DCS for Redis instead. For details, see Huawei Cloud Distributed Cache Service Memcached Is Discontinued.

Rule Logic

  • If a DCS for Memcached instance has an EIP bound, this instance is non-compliant.
  • If a DCS for Memcached instance does not have an EIP bound, this instance is compliant.
