Configuring the Maintenance Window
Scenarios
The maintenance window is 02:00–06:00 by default and you can change it as required. To prevent service interruptions, you can configure the maintenance window to off-peak hours.
Constraints
- Changing the maintenance window does not affect the execution time of the scheduled tasks in the original maintenance period.
- During the maintenance window, the DB instance will be intermittently disconnected once or twice. Ensure that your applications support automatic reconnection.
Procedure
- Log in to the RDS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region. - On the Instances page, click the target instance name to go to the Summary page. Under Maintenance Window, click Configure. Figure 1 Configuring the maintenance window
- In the displayed dialog box, select an interval and a time range, and click OK. Figure 2 Changing the maintenance window
