Editing Bug Details

On the bug details page, you can modify the bug description, priority, and current owner, add bug attachments and workload, associate the bug with work items, view bug review records, and view bug operation history.

  1. In the work item list, click a title to go to the details page.
  2. On the Details tab page, click the Comments text box.
  3. Enter the comment.

    You can upload images, enter links, associate work items, and use @ to notify project members in comments.

  4. Click Submit. The comment is submitted.

    Submitted comments can be replied, edited, pinned to the top, and deleted.

Adding Attachments

Attachments can be pictures, workbooks, manuscripts, and text files. A maximum of 100 attachments can be added to each work item, and their total size cannot exceed 50 MB.

  1. In the work item list, click a title to go to the details page.
  2. Click the Attachment tab.
  3. Click "Click or drag the file here to upload it.", select a local file, and upload the file to the work item as an attachment.

    Local files can be directly dragged to the text box. When the upload progress reaches 100%, the system displays a message indicating that the attachment is uploaded successfully.

    Move the cursor to the file that is successfully uploaded. The operations that can be performed are displayed.

    • Click to download the file to the local device.
    • Click to delete the uploaded file.

Setting Related Items

A work item can be associated with other types of work items in a project.

  • Associate Work Item: associated work items of other types in the project.

    Associating with existing RRs: You can associate an RR only after it is successfully created.

    Associating with existing IRs, SRs, and ARs: You can associate IRs, SRs, and ARs only after creating and breaking down R&D requirements.

    Associating with tasks: You can associate a task only after the task is successfully created. You can click to cancel the association.

  • Synergistic bug: bugs distributed to other projects for collaboration.

    Batch distribution is supported. A maximum of 10 bugs can be distributed at a time. One bug is displayed by default and cannot be deleted.

    1. Click Collaborative delivery. The Collaborative delivery dialog box is displayed.
    2. Configure the information about bug distribution.

      Click to expand and configure more information.

    3. Click OK. The bug is distributed.
      To view and handle the distributed bug, go to the responsible project selected in collaborative delivery.

      After you assign a bug, its attachment will not be synchronized to the downstream bugs. The current owners of these downstream bugs can contact you for the attachment.

  • File: File related to the current bug. You can associate a file with the current bug.
  • Wiki: Wiki related to the current bug. You can associate a Wiki with the current bug.
  • Test Plan: Test plan related to the current bug. You can associate test plans with the current bug.
  • Test Case: Test case related to the current bug. You can select bugs associated with test cases in CodeArts TestPlan.
  • Code Commit Record: Code submission record related to the current bug.

    Related information is displayed only when the current bug ticket is associated during code commit.

  • Code Branch: Code branch related to the current bug.

    Related information is displayed only when the code branch is associated with the current bug ticket.

Viewing Review Records

You can view the review records related to the bug only when either of the following situations occurs:

You can view the review records on the Review tab page of the corresponding bug details only when the bug has records in Changing Review Bugs and general review.

When you modify the details of a bug, a change process is automatically triggered. Only then will you be able to view the review records in Review of the corresponding bug details page.

  1. In the bug list, click a bug name. The bug details page is displayed.
  2. Modify controlled fields (such as bug name, description, severity, proposer, or expected fixing time). A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the change review process is required.
  3. Click OK to enter the review process.
  4. After filling in the information, click Submit. The Review page is displayed.

    The changed content is displayed in the bug only after it passes the review. For details about the change process, see Changing Review Bugs.

  5. Return to the Bug page and go to the bug details page of the change process. You can view the review records of the bug in the Review area.

Adding Workload

  1. In the work item list, click a title to go to the details page.
  2. Click the Workload tab.
  3. Click Add Workload. The Add Workload dialog box is displayed.
  4. Enter the workload information.

    • The end date cannot be earlier than the start date.
    • Decide whether to select Weekends included. If not, weekend workload records will not be generated.
    • You can select Total or Daily for Workload.
    • Work Type options include back-end development, front-end development, UI design, replacement leave, debugging, and public affairs. You can also customize the value. The procedure is as follows:
      1. Click . The Work Types dialog box is displayed.
      2. Click Create.
      3. Enter Title.

        Title must be unique.

      4. Click OK.

        The work types that are successfully set can be edited and deleted.

        If Mandatory is enabled, a red asterisk (*) is displayed before Work Type to indicate that the parameter is mandatory.

  5. Click OK.

    The system automatically generates corresponding records based on the entered dates and days.

    The workload can be edited and deleted.

Viewing History

History displays all operation logs of users, including creation, status transition, review initiation, work item association, and workload adding.

  1. In the work item list, click a title to go to the details page.
  2. Click the History tab.

    • Click or to view historical records in ascending or descending order of operation time.
    • You can set search criteria to query historical records that meet the search criteria.

The operations of uploading attachments and adding comments are not displayed in the history.
