Restoring Client Authentication Configurations

Scenarios

If a client authentication configuration is modified or deleted by mistake, you can restore the configuration to its state prior to the change based on the recorded modification history. You can also restore the client authentication configurations to the original defaults, in which case all your custom configurations will be reset. Ensure that the restoration aligns with your application requirements.

Constraints

  • Only successfully modified records in the client authentication configuration history are available for restoration.
  • Client authentication configurations can only be restored for an instance when all its nodes are in the available state.
  • In a cross-region disaster recovery scenario, restoring a client authentication configuration on the primary instance is not automatically synchronized to the DR instance. If you also need to restore the same configuration on the DR instance, manually restore it on the DR instance.
  • For centralized instances, configuration changes are synchronized across all nodes. For distributed instances, changes are synchronized across all CN components.
  • Restored authentication configurations are only applied for newly created sessions.
