Generating an Active Session Profile

Scenarios

You can collect and download active session profiles (ASPs) on the GaussDB console.

Constraints

The DB engine version of GaussDB instances must be V2.0-3.300 or later, and the kernel version must be 503.2 or later. For details about how to query the version, see Checking the DB Engine and Kernel Engine Version of a GaussDB Instance.

Precautions

  • After ASP Generation is enabled, ASP data is sampled every second.
  • If ASP Generation is disabled, there may be no data available when the data source is set to template-collected data for SQL diagnosis and slow SQL data collection.
  • The default collection period is the latest 2 hours and the maximum length is two days.
  • The collected ASP reports are retained for three days by default.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select the desired region and project.
  3. Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > GaussDB.
  4. On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance to go to the Basic Information page.
  5. In the navigation pane, choose Diagnostics and Optimization > Performance Reports. Then, click the Active Session Profile tab.
  6. Select the collection period and click Generate ASP.
