Managing Custom Components
This section walks you through on how to edit and delete a custom component.
Editing a Custom Component
- Log in to the DataArts Insight console.
- Click
in the upper left corner of the management console to select a region. Then, select an enterprise project in the upper right corner.
- Click the name of the desired project in the My Projects area in the right pane.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Work Management > Custom Component.
- On the displayed page, locate your desired custom component and click Edit in the Operation column. In the displayed dialog box, edit related parameters, confirm the settings, and click OK.
- Republish the edited custom component.

Description
Status
The options include Developing, To Be Published, and Published. Different statuses are marked with different colors.
- Developing (gray): The component is registered but the development package is not uploaded.
- To Be Published (blue): The development package has been uploaded, but the component has not been published.
- Published (green): The custom component has been published. You can check and use the component in the large screen or dashboard component list.
NOTE:
- If a custom component is not published, it will not appear in the list of large screen or dashboard components.
- Once a custom component is published and its information is edited and confirmed, even if manually changed back, the publish button will change from grayed out to highlighted.
- If the development package is deleted, the component cannot be published.
- Edited components need to be republished.
Development Buddle
Status of a development package. The options include To Be Uploaded or Uploaded.
- To Be Uploaded: The component is registered but the development package is not uploaded.
- Uploaded: The development package has been uploaded.
Show or Not
- Enabled: The component is in the default state, but can only be seen in the component list after it has been published.
- Disabled: The component is hidden in the list.
NOTE:
Hiding a published component will not affect the large screens or dashboards that have already used it. The hidden component will not be visible in the custom component list of the large screen or dashboard.
Deleting a Custom Component
- Log in to the DataArts Insight console.
- Click
in the upper left corner of the management console to select a region. Then, select an enterprise project in the upper right corner.
- Click the name of the desired project in the My Projects area in the right pane.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Work Management > Custom Component.
- On the displayed page, locate your desired custom component and click Delete in the Operation column. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.
Before deleting a custom component, check if the component is in use. If it is, an error will be reported on the large screen or dashboard that uses the component once it is deleted.
