Overview

GaussDB(DWS) is developed based on the open-source PostgreSQL ecosystem. DAS, commonly used for cluster connection, works with many engines and uses open-source components. So, GaussDB(DWS) syntax is not completely compatible with DAS syntax, which can cause some function issues and make it hard to adapt to DAS. GaussDB(DWS) only allowed users to perform cluster O&M operations. To use clusters for data access, development, and processing, users had to rely on different services with limited functions. Now GaussDB(DWS) provides the online SQL editor, a one-stop development tool for data development, access, and processing. For details, see GaussDB(DWS).
