Description

Mode

This function can be used only in agent mode, and Terminal Command Running Mode must be set to Auto Running.

Number of experiences

Up to 50,000 entries are allowed. When this limit is reached, the system automatically suspends experience capture and periodic reflection.

Enabling Experience Capture

  1. Log in to CodeArts Agent IDE as instructed in Quick Start.
  2. Click in the upper right corner to open the global setting page.
  3. On the Chats tab, locate Terminal Command Running Mode under Agents and set it to Auto Running.
  4. Choose Experiences and Memories, and enable experience capture under Experience Capture.

Once enabled, AI will be called to extract experiences at the end of every task, which consumes additional tokens.

Once enabled, the system automatically extracts experiences from the following content. The generated experience files are stored in .codeartsdoer/experience-reuse/experiences of the project's root directory.

    • User coding behavior: routine development activities such as bug fixing, performance optimization, and code review.
    • Project repositories: recurring bugs, major technical decisions, and project best practices
    • Daily review and mining: code changes, bug logs, review comments, and technical discussions
    • Proactive maintenance: manually adding, editing, or correcting experience entries

  5. Enable experiences.

Once enabled, the AI automatically searches and applies relevant experiences at the start of each chat to provide you with better answers.

  6. Enable periodic reflection.

Once enabled, you can customize the reflection interval. Within this interval, the system automatically completes the reflection task and updates the generated report to the .codeartsdoer/experience-reuse/reflect-reports folder in the project root directory. This process consumes additional tokens.

If you do not perform any operations within the specified interval, the AI will review the previous day's experience.
