Overview
COC delivers the batch resource operation capability that allows you to centrally manage multiple types of resources, such as Elastic Cloud Servers (ECSs), Relational Database Service (RDS) DB instances, FlexusL instances, and Bare Metal Servers (BMSs). It supports a variety of operation scenarios, including batch start, stop, and restart, OS reinstallation, and OS change, meeting resource operation requirements in different O&M phases.
Advantages
- Wide resource coverage: It applies to multiple mainstream cloud resource types, including ECSs, cloud databases, specific FlexusL instances, and BMSs.
- Comprehensive operation scenarios: A one-stop batch operation solution is provided. It covers common operation requirements during resource O&M, such as basic operations including power-on, power-off, restart, OS reinstallation, and OS change.
- Convenient and efficient operations: With a unified operation entry and simple operation process, you can quickly select target resources and perform operations in batches. This eliminates the need to perform operations one by one and greatly improve O&M efficiency.
- High security: Before performing batch operations, the system performs necessary verification and prompts you to back up data. This reduces risks caused by misoperations and ensures resource operation security.
Benefits
- Improved O&M efficiency: For customers with a large number of cloud resources, the batch operation function significantly reduces repeated manual operations and allows O&M personnel to focus on more important tasks.
- Reduced labor costs: By minimizing dependence on extensive O&M staff, this feature reduces both the labor costs and manual misoperations.
- Service continuity: Using the batch operation capability for operations like OS reinstallation and switchover, operation sequence and time of resources can be properly arranged. This reduces the operation impacts on service running and ensures continuous and stable service running. For example, you can upgrade servers in batches to prevent service interruption caused by all servers going offline simultaneously.
- Easy resource management: You can easily plan and manage your resources in a unified manner through batch operations. For example, you can enable or disable some resources in batches based on service requirements to optimize resource configurations and improve resource utilization.
