Configuring M365 Email Gateways

An administrator can configure M365 email gateways to send and receive M365 emails.

Prerequisites

The M365 application has been configured. For details, see Configuring M365 Applications.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the AICC as an administrator and choose Configuration Center > Access Configuration > Gateway Configuration.

    Organization Structure: This parameter is controlled by the tenant parameter Has the tenant enabled inter-organization data isolation enforcement.

    • After the tenant parameter Has the tenant enabled inter-organization data isolation enforcement is set to Yes, use either of the following methods to configure the OU data scope based on site requirements:
      • Add the View All Organization Data, Viewing and Editing Home Organization Data, or View Lower-Level Organization Data permission under System Public Permissions to the role configured for the current account.
      • Configure the read permission for the corresponding accessible OU on the Employee Info page for the current account.
    • After the preceding tenant parameter is set to No, the Organization Structure parameter is not displayed.

  2. Click New. The Create Gateway page is displayed.

    • Organization Unit: Select an OU to which an M365 email gateway belongs.
    • Enter a gateway name: Enter a customized gateway name. The value can contain a maximum of 10 characters, including only digits and letters.
    • Config Type: Select Email.
    • Protocol Type: Select M365.

  3. After basic information is configured, click Next. The Gateway Address Interconnection Configuration page is displayed.

    • Azure Apps: Select the configured M365 application template. For details, see Configuring M365 Applications.
    • Email Address: Enter the email address of the recipient.
    • Save to Outbox: Select whether to save the email to the outbox.
      • Enabled: Emails sent through the email address are saved to the outbox of the email server.
      • Disabled: Sent emails are not saved.

  4. After gateway interconnection information is configured, click Save.
  5. You can click Try in the Operation column for the M365 gateway configuration to test whether the gateway configuration is correct. Enter the recipient email address, email title, and body, and then click Send. If the recipient receives the email, the gateway configuration is correct and services are normal.
